Description
The Dunbarton Leaf Ashtray is made completely by hand. Tobacco artists using machetes and chisels create the familiar tobacco leaf shape. Furthermore, this ashtray is crafted by a single Nicaraguan family commissioned by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust.
The soapstone called marmolina is used to carve this piece. The soapstone’s unique colors and patterns making each ashtray truly one of a kind. The final touch of buffing with a gentle cloth is used to polish the ashtrays once the carving is complete.
