Lure Cigars announces the release of “The Bluefish”. In honor of Lieutenant Chris Watson’s 31 years of dedicated service in law enforcement. And in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support the fight to defeat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Lou Cross, of Lure Cigars, and Stephen Frank, the owner of Boll Weevil Fine Cigars and Humidor Fine Cigars, are excited to announce the release of the limited-edition Bluefish on August 2nd, 2025.
Lure has created this cigar as a 6 x 54 epicure wrapped in a Connecticut Broadleaf. Lure Cigars has limited this production to only 2000 cigars. The Bluefish will only be available at Boll Weevil Fine Cigars and Humidor Fine Cigars and @ bollweevilfinecigars.com
The Story
Lou Cross of Lure Cigars approached his friend and retail partner, Stephen Frank, who is the owner of Boll Weevil Fine Cigars and Humidor Fine Cigars with an idea: to create a cigar honoring Lt. Chris Watson. Chris has been a dear friend, loyal customer, and devoted fan of Lure Cigars. This release coincides with the occasion of his retirement from the Dothan Police Department after 31 years of service. Correspondingly, Chris experienced the bad news of being diagnosed with ALS.
In similar fashion, Lou and Stephen decided to sell the entire run to raise money to help defeat ALS and to honor Chris. Boll Weevil Fine Cigars and Lure Cigars will be donating the net proceeds from the sales of this cigar to the Alabama Chapter of the ALS Association to support the development of promising therapies and research that will lead to a cure for this disease.
The Cigar
The Bluefish features a dark and flavorful Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a binder from Esteli and a selection of premium Nicaraguan and Mexican filler tobaccos, including Esteli, Jalapa, and San Andres ligero.
Lou has created the strength of this cigar to be a medium-full, with a power that matches the flavor. This cigar blend features notes of rich espresso, freshly tanned leather, pleasant baking spices, along with a bit of black pepper on the retrohale. This is a larger cigar that offers a lot of smoke and an incredible amount of flavor.
